Whole30 Taco Bowl

Quick and Easy Taco Bowl Whole30.png

I’m all about tacos for dinner, they are always a hit in our house! I typically make a homemade tortilla to go with them, you can find my plantain tortilla recipe HERE if you’re looking to add a tortilla to this recipe! However this taco bowl is great for a quick and easy dinner when you need to throw something together fast! You can use pre-made salsa and guacamole to save even more time! These bowls are also great served with plantain chips, you can use store bought or find my homemade recipe HERE.

RECIPE:

  • 2 lbs grass-fed ground beef

  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning, you can find my homemade recipe HERE

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 3 cups romaine or butter lettuce, chopped

  • 2-3 radish, sliced

  • pico salsa

  • avocado sliced or guacamole

  • pickled onions

  • cilantro, chopped

In a medium saucepan cook the ground beef over medium high heat until cooked through. Drain the excess fat. Return to a medium low heat and add taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine. Cook for 3-5 minutes then turn to low or warm until ready to use. Build your taco bowls by adding the lettuce to the bowl first, then ground beef, and toppings. Serve with plantain chips on the side or enjoy without them!
