Homemade Foaming Hand Soap

homemade foaming hand soap.JPG

I am working to eliminate harmful toxins from our home, and can't believe how easy this foaming hand soap is to mix up! This makes it so simple to replace your current hand soaps with one that is all natural and free from harmful fragrances and toxins. It can also save you money! This recipe is made from castile soap, which is gentle and doesn’t strip the skin of its natural oils, leaving your skin soft. Castile soap actually helps to moisturize the skin! I hate when my hands dry out from constantly washing them, so this recipe is making a big difference. While it is gentle on the skin, it is also completely effective at killing germs, without all the harmful toxins!

You can choose your favorite essential oil to add more benefits and an amazing scent. Citrus scents are great for the kitchen, however lavender, peppermint, or thieves are also great options. Use more or less essential oil depending if your castile soap is already scented. Make sure you are using a pure essential oil, there are many options to choose from and it is important to make sure you are using one that is made with quality and not full of harmful fillers. When I made my recipe I used a citrus castile soap and added tangerine essential oil to coordinate with the scent. However, you could use an unscented castile soap and add your scent through your essential oil.

RECIPE:

Add castile soap and essential oil to an 8oz foaming soap dispenser and fill with water. Use more or less essential oil depending if your castile soap is already scented and preference.
